  • Rev. Rick Blunt senior Pastor

    Rick is passionate about reaching out into our community to make a difference in peoples' lives by making God's love for all people evident. Rick earned his Master of Divinity at Princeton Theological Seminary and his undergraduate degree in Elementary Education at Western Michigan. Following a brief career in education, he entered ministry. Rick has been our Sr. Pastor since July 2014. Rick and Natalie have two grown children, who reside in Houston and Ann Arbor.  Email: pastor@OkemosOCC.org

  • Steve Martin director of music

    Steve is a DMA student at MSU, and holds a Bachelor and  two Master of Music degrees from MSU. (Does that make him a 4-time alumnis? Go Green!) As a tenor opera singer, Steve has sung in China, Italy, Santa Fe and more. His musical tastes are wide. In addition to directing the Chancel Choir, Steve oversees the music staff and music ministry program. Steve has been at OCC since February 2015.   • rev. George grettenberger pastor emeritus

    George and his wife Diane retired to Okemos following his career as a United Methodist pastor, including several years as missionaries in Guatemala. In retirement, George serves OCC by helping with visits and care for shut-ins as his heath allows. The Grettenbergers have 5 children, one of whom is also a United Methodist pastor, and many grandchildren.

    Cwen is working on her Master of Music degree at MSU in piano and musicology. 

  • Natalie Blunt handbell choir director

    Natalie has been ringing and directing handbells for nearly 30 years. Her undergraduate degree is in Music from Western Michigan University, where she and Rick met at the Wesley Foundation Campus Ministry. Natalie is a Physical Therapist Assistant at a local facility for residential and short term rehab during the week. She and Rick have a son & daughter-in-law in Ann Arbor and daughter in Houston.

    Marci is deeply involved in many ministries at OCC, from OCC Women to international mission trips. Her heart is in serving others. She manages the financial books and recordswith her accountant's skill.
