• Rev. Rick Blunt senior Pastor

    Rick is passionate about reaching out into our community to make a difference in peoples' lives by making God's love for all people evident. Rick earned his Master of Divinity at Princeton Theological Seminary and his undergraduate degree in Elementary Education at Western Michigan. Following a brief career in education, he entered ministry. Rick has been our Sr. Pastor since July 2014. Rick and Natalie have two grown children, who reside in Houston and Ann Arbor.  Email:

  • Allie Williams
    Director of Children, Youth, and Adult Ministries

    Allie comes to us from St. John’s United Methodist Church in Kansas City, Missouri where she has been their Director of Children, Youth, and Family Ministries for over 5 years.

    Allie’s undergraduate degree is from Fort Hays State University with a major in Art History and a minor in Philosophy with an emphasis in Biblical Studies. She earned her J.D. from the University of Missouri Kansas City, where she was named the Outstanding Female Law Student of the Year. She practiced law focused on assisting low income and elderly clients in Kansas City, but felt called to something different. When her home church in Natoma, Kansas was without a pastor, Allie had the opportunity to fill in as a Lay Speaker and was then assigned as pastor of Natoma and Pleasant Plains United Methodist Churches in central Kansas. She pastored those congregations for three years   

  • Dr. Jonathan Ten brink Director of music

    A Grand Rapids native, Dr. Ten Brink is Assistant Professor of Music and Program Faculty Chair at Lansing Community College. He earned his DMA in Vocal Performance at the University of Minnesota, his MM from Bowling Green State University and his BA from Calvin College. He has been active in church music since high school and has served at United Methodist, Presbyterian, Congregational, Christian Reformed, Baptist churches.

    Jon has been an opera performer appearing in hundreds of productions in 36 states, including on PBS and NPR. He has been on the faculty at Wingate University, Shorter University, Crown College, and North Central University.

    Cwen is working on her Master of Music degree at MSU in piano and musicology. 

  • Natalie Blunt handbell choir director

    Natalie has been ringing and directing handbells for nearly 30 years. Her undergraduate degree is in Music from Western Michigan University, where she and Rick met at the Wesley Foundation Campus Ministry. Natalie is a Physical Therapist Assistant at a local facility for residential and short term rehab during the week. She and Rick have a son & daughter-in-law in Ann Arbor and daughter in Houston.

    Marci is deeply involved in many ministries at OCC, from OCC Women to international mission trips. Her heart is in serving others. She manages the financial books and records with her accountant's skill.
